Vintage 1940s Glenover Henry Pollak Black Wool Tilt Hat Leaves Hatpins

Striking original late-1940s women’s tilt hat by Glenover, distributed by Henry Pollak Inc. of Fifth Avenue, New York.  Made from 100% black wool felt, the hat has a sculptural asymmetrical brim designed to sit at a jaunty angle. The top is decorated with textured woven leaf appliqués, wide black grosgrain ribbon, and long glossy black hatpin-style accents. An elastic cord helps secure the hat while worn.  The interior retains its original stamped Glenover and Henry Pollak maker’s mark. Unlined with grosgrain ribbon around the inner opening.  Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface lint and signs of age.
